History of Project: Born of a jewish mother of Egyptian descent and a jewish father of Romanian descent is Alex’s good friend and anthropologist in formation from the University of São Paulo, Ernesto Mifano Honigsberg. As Alex and Ernesto, grew up and Alex’s musical fruitions came to rise Ernesto brought to Alex’s attention the story of his grandfather, a renowned romanian tango musician and conductor. This story has always peaked Parke’s interest, and his path settled into ethnomusicology, and given that in a dark backroom of his house Ernesto has 5 boxes full of newspaper articles, letters, books, foto albums, sheet music, and more, Alex recently approached Ernesto with a serious proposition: to work together on uncovering the secrets those boxes contain.
